On July 13th, the Governor of South Sulawesi, Nurdin Abdullah, and Amir Jao, President Commissioner of Indonesia’s Huadi Nickel Alloy Company, met in Jakarta with Minister ESDM Arifin Tasrif. The purpose was to encourage the Bantaeng Industrial Zone (KI) Industrial Development. At the same time, Irawan Bintang, Director of ESDM Service Office of South Sulawesi, Acting Director of PTSP Service Office of West Serif Island, South Sulawesi, Jos Stefan, President of Huadi Nickel Alloy, and Huadi Lily Dewi Candinegara, GA Manager also attended the meeting.
"The government assures entrepreneurs that more than promises. Today, I will bring investors to the minister, and the minister promises to provide support." NA said at the evening conference.
The management of Indonesia Huadi Nickel Alloy has successfully established a smelter with two furnaces since 2012 and plans to invest another 6.5 trillion rupiah to add six furnaces within two years.
Amir Jao, President Commissioner of PT Huadi Nickel Alloys, said that since the beginning of 2020, investment has been made in the form of increasing plant capacity.
"This year we have added four more stoves, and next year we will add two more stoves, a total of six stoves. After the full construction, Huadi will have eight stoves," he said in the South Sulawesi provincial government.
Jos Stefan Hidecky, Managing Director of PT Huadi Nickel Alloys, added that four ferronickel smelting furnace plants in Papan Loe Village, Bantaeng Pajukkukang District are under construction this year.
He explained: "The contract with PLN (Indonesian State Power Company) in April 2021 has been installed." If eight furnaces are installed, Huadi’s annual production capacity will reach 200,000 tons, and the current annual output of the two furnaces is 50,000 tons.
ESDM Minister Arifin Tasrif fully supports Huadi's investment in mining industry development.
If all six furnaces are put into operation, the Indonesian Huadi Nickel Alloy Company's nickel-iron refining company in Bantaeng, South Sulawesi, Indonesia will require another 6,000 workers in the next two years.
