According to the Daily News, on September 10, an underground mining mine in Mbogwe, Geita district, Tanzania, collapsed, killing two people and injuring 28 others.
Geita district police reported the incident over the weekend, noting that the mine was closed for some time and banned from mining operations, but there were some people, commonly referred to as monkeys, who entered the restricted area through unofficial means.
At least 20 people have been killed in a bus crash in South Africa's Limpopo province, AFP reported, citing local transport officials, Deutsche Welle reported.

Vongani Chauke, a spokesman for the Limpopo provincial Department of Transport and Community Safety, confirmed that the bus was transporting workers from the Venetia diamond mine operated by De Beers when it crashed in the north of the country.
The cause of the collision is not yet known.
The Venetia mine is the largest diamond mine in South Africa, accounting for more than 40% of the country's annual diamond production and employing more than 4,300 people.
