São Paulo, September 4th (Argus) - Aclara Resources, headquartered in Canada, stated that it may obtain up to 750 million US dollars in financing from the US government to develop its planned rare earth separation plant in Louisiana.
The US Export-Import Bank stated in an intention letter that it may provide up to 750 million US dollars in loans to support the development of Aclara's Dynamo project. This project is a rare earth separation, metal and alloy facility, which will be located at the Vinton Port in Louisiana.

The company stated that Aclara will have 15 years to repay this loan, which is specifically used to cover the project costs.
The factory in Louisiana plans to break ground in the fourth quarter and start operations in mid-2028, with a target of 1,131 tons per year of neodymium-praseodymium, 148 tons per year of dysprosium, and 25 tons per year of terbium.
The facility is designed to process the mixed rare earth carbonates from Aclara's projects - Carina in Brazil and Penco in Chile - and convert the generated oxides into magnet alloy through a joint venture with Chilean steel producer CAP.
