Wyloo Metals, owned by Australian mining giant Andrew Forrest, said on Tuesday it would make an unsolicited bid for the shares of copper and nickel miner Noront Resources Not.V that it does NOT already own.
Noront responded by advising shareholders to delay any action.
Noront's main asset is the high-grade Eagle's Nest copper-nickel-palladium mine in Canada.
The bid signals a broadening of Forrest's interest in battery mining.
