On April 25, Boliden released its 2023 first quarter production report, with nickel production of 0.9800 metal tons, down 9.2% month-on-month and up 102.72% year on year; Nickel concentrate production was 2,610 tons of metal, down 11% year-on-year and 2% month-on-month; Nickel matte production was 7171 tons, up 49% year on year, down 12% month on month.
Harjavalta produced 75,681 tons of nickel. Lower grinding in open pit mines leads to a decrease in copper and nickel concentrate production year by year. In 2023, the nickel production of Kevitsa decreased both month-on-month and year-on-year, and nickel grade was 0.17%.
