China Mineral Resources said on the investor interactive platform on June 27 that at present, the crushing system construction of the company's 2 million tons/year renovation and expansion project of Bikita lithium mine in Zimbabwe has been completed and put into trial operation, and the entire renovation and expansion project is accelerating. The company's Bikita mine new 2 million tons/year mineral processing construction project and 2 million tons/year mineral processing renovation and expansion project are planned to be completed and put into operation in 2023.

In 2022, China Mineral Resources completed the acquisition of 100% equity in the Bikita Mine in Zimbabwe. The total amount of lithium mineral resources in the eastern and western parts of Bikita Mine reaches 545.15 million tons of ore, equivalent to 1.560,500 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE). After the Bikita2 million tons/year expansion project is completed, the annual output of lithium concentrate is expected to be 41,200 tons, of which 300 thousand tons of lithium feldspar concentrate, containing spodumene - lemica - lithium nepheline and other mixed lithium concentrate 11,200 tons.
China Mining Resources said that after the completion of this investment project, the company is expected to further enhance the market size and industry position of lithium new energy raw materials business, continue to enhance core competitiveness, and continue to improve sustainable development capabilities.
