At 9:58 am on August 1st, Zambian time, China Minmetals Luancha held a mobilization meeting for the start of the new mine project. The mobilization meeting adhered to the principles of "pragmatism and frugality", aiming to "focus on the project's start-up and consolidate team consensus", and to boost and encourage the subsequent construction of the project. The start-up of the new mine project marked that China Minmetals Group's strategic layout in Zambia had entered a new stage. It was also an important measure for China Minmetals Luancha to implement the work requirements of the Group's mid-year work meeting of "fully initiating the restoration construction of the shallow part of the new mine" and deepen China-Zambia cooperation. Vice General Manager Huang Rongman of China Minmetals Luancha presided over the meeting. Director of the Zambia Representative Office of China Minmetals Group Song Jianjun, General Manager Li Hui and Vice General Manager Liu Yaping and Xue Chenghao of China Minmetals Luancha, senior managers, on-site responsible persons from the participating construction units such as Shifanye, Jincheng, Tongguan Mining Construction, China Minmetals Guilin Institute, China Minmetals Xincheng Supervision, Dadi Gaoke, and Hengda Jianghai, as well as representatives of Chinese and Zambian employees, totaling 230 people, attended the mobilization meeting. Project Introduction The Luancha new mine project is the "cornerstone project" for the high-quality and sustainable development of China Minmetals Luancha and also a key construction project of China Minmetals Group for reserve increase and production expansion. The project consists of two mining projects, namely the Mu Nan shallow part and Mahibaba joint mining project and the 28# deep shaft sulfide ore mining project, with a total of 3 mines. The planned annual production and selection design capacity is 8 million tons and 22 million tons respectively, and the mine service life is 18 years. After the project is completed, it will create significant economic and social value for Zambia.
