Chinese Ambassador To The DRC Met With The Newly Appointed Prime Minister DRC Lukkonde

On March 29, Chinese Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Zhu Jing met with the newly appointed Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Lukounde and personally delivered a congratulatory message from Premier Li Keqiang on his appointment.

Zhu noted that the traditional friendship and win-win strategic partnership between the two countries has been achieving fruitful results, benefiting the two peoples.

In 2020, despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, China-DRC practical cooperation in various fields will continue to advance against the trend, fully demonstrating the dynamism of bilateral relations and the huge space for development and cooperation.

China is ready to join hands with the new DRC government to implement the outcomes of State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to the DRC earlier this year and add new vitality to China-DRC friendly relations and write a new chapter.

Luckonde asked Ambassador Zhu Jing to convey his heartfelt thanks and sincere greetings to Premier Li Keqiang.

Lew said that China is a good friend and partner of the DRC.

Bilateral cooperation has yielded fruitful results and delivered tangible benefits to Congo.

The two countries still have great potential for cooperation in such areas as mining, infrastructure construction and agriculture. Congo is ready to work with China to push for new development of bilateral friendly relations.
