PT Weda Bay Nickel (WBN) has asked PT Hillcon to increase production from 4 million wet tons to 6 million wet tons in 2023 and to increase nickel ore shipments. Hillcon will deploy about 80 dump trucks for an average distance of about 22 km. Hersan Qiu, Hillcon's lead director, said an additional 50% of production and additional dump trucks for nickel ore transportation will increase Hillcon's revenue and sales in 2023.
