HOUSTON, January 29th (Argus) - Australian lithium miner Liontown sold 112,000 dry tons of spodumene concentrate in the fourth quarter of 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 38%.
Liontown operates the Kathleen Valley lithium mine in Australia and also mines open-pit and underground mines.
The company sold six batches of concentrate during the quarter, with an average grade of 5.1% lithium oxide (Li₂O). Based on a 6% Li₂O benchmark, the average realized price was $900 per ton, and the all-in sustaining cost (AISC) was $695 per ton. The company stated this in its January 29th financial report.


Liontown plans to retain 10-20% of the spodumene production for auctions.
The company said it sold 10,000 tons in its first auction in November, with an成交价 of $1,254 per ton.
Liontown will continue to increase production and may prioritize the newly added capacity for auctions.
The company has supply agreements with LGES, Zhongmin, Tesla (Tesla), and Ford (Ford).
LG Energy Solution currently holds 8% of Liontown's shares due to the conversion of its $250 million convertible bonds.
