Supendi, head of the Ministry of Finance's representative, said that as of April 2023, nickel exports from South Sudan to Japan had reached $486 million out of a total export of $815 million.


Nickel has always been a mainstay of the province, contributing more than all exports, he said in Seokang, explaining the state budget.
He explained that the total exports of Southern Jiangsu Province from January to April 2023 amounted to US $815.85 million, with nickel always contributing more than half of the total trade volume.
Japan is the biggest export destination for nickel, one of the raw materials used to make lithium batteries.
Seafood, the most valuable export, was followed by $229.4 million.
