The Local Government Of Nigeria Has Allocated Land For A Titanium Processing Plant.

Houston, October 13th (Argus) - The government of Ondo State, Nigeria, signed an agreement last week to allocate land for the emerging titanium and chemical company Pyvee to build a modular titanium processing plant. The company's CEO, Peter Oladipupo, announced this news on social media on October 11th.
According to the Ondo State government, Pyvee plans to produce titanium dioxide and sponge titanium at its new factory in Ilaje, Nigeria. The state government stated on October 10th that the plant will also build a platform for the production of niobium-titanium alloys and "specific rare earth products". The factory is expected to use local titanium ore as raw materials.
Oladipupo stated on social media: "Over the years, finding the appropriate industrial land has been the main bottleneck in advancing this project for us."
According to the state government, the project will be built in two phases, with a total investment of approximately 362 million US dollars, including the construction of a commercial pilot plant and subsequent development of a titanium processing complex. The project will be developed and operated through the joint venture Pyvee Nigeria Titanium.

This modular factory will have its equipment prefabricated in the United States and then transported to Nigeria for installation and production. The Ondo State government stated that the project will become the second titanium full-chain processing plant in Africa upon completion.
This public-private partnership project is being negotiated by the Ondo State Development Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA).
