HOUSTON, June 9th (Argus) - The US rare earth developer Rare Element Resources (RER) is advancing its demonstration plant for producing praseodymium and neodymium oxides, with plans to commence full operations in the late summer of 2026.

RER stated today that the demonstration plant is scheduled to operate for a duration of 12 months to support the design and construction of a comprehensive commercial separation facility. The company has not disclosed the specific details of the plant's size.
RER fully owns the Bear Lodge rare earth project in Wyoming and plans to establish a processing facility near Epton, Wyoming.
The Bear Lodge project was designated as a covered project by the Federal Allowed Improvement Steering Council's Fast-41 program in March 2026. RER expects to complete all federal and state licensing and permit requirements by early 2028.
RER raised $30.5 million through an oversubscribed common stock offering in March to support the operation of the demonstration plant and to complete the licensing and permit issuance for the Bear Lodge project.
