London, September 22nd (Argus) - The price of European indium rose to $900 - $950 per kilogram on September 22nd, higher than the previous range of $890 - $930 per kilogram. The price of argyrodite molybdenum (minimum 57% grade powder) as assessed by Argus rose slightly to $33.50 - $33.80 per pound (unfitted for Rotterdam), higher than $33.50 - $33.70 per pound on September 17th. This was due to several higher-priced transactions in the Asian market before the upcoming holidays. A trader said there was a transaction in Busan, South Korea, at $33.75 per pound, with the current price approaching $33.85 per pound, but the activity in the European market so far this week remained within the assessment range.
The price range of vanadium pentoxide (minimum 98% grade ingot) rose from $5.20 - $5.50 per pound (unfitted for Rotterdam) on September 15th to $5.30 - $5.70 per pound. This was due to the maintenance shutdowns of major producers, resulting in tight spot supply, and sellers continued to raise their quotations. Traders said the spot transaction price was close to the upper end of the range, and most market sources set the market price at around $5.50 per pound. Despite the rising quotations, buyers remained hesitant as most of them have covered their own needs through long-term agreements.
