On September 16, the U.S. Treasury Department announced the latest round of sanctions against Russian companies and citizens. Among them, Russian copper company and billionaire Igor Altushkin are among the new sanctions list. New additions to the list include coal miner Vorkutaugol, as well as other commodities companies and car producer AvtoVAZ.
In addition, in order to further restrict Russia's extractive industry and future mining exploration and development, the US Treasury Department also listed Russian companies engaged in mineral resource exploration and development, such as AGD Diamond Corporation, on the sanctions list.
