Corundum as the aggregate, spinel and corundum powder as the matrix, pure calcium aluminate cement as the binder refractory castable.

Its chemical composition is Al2O3 89%~93%, MgO 5%~8%.

It has good corrosion resistance and slag permeability, and can be used as lining of large ladle for continuous casting.

The aluminum-magnesium refractory castable has been widely used in the ladle used for medium and small scale die casting. The average age of the ladle is 60 ~ 80 times. Compared with the clay ladle brick, the consumption per ton of steel refractory material is reduced by about 70%.

The raw materials of aluminum-magnesium castable for ladle are basically the same as aluminum-magnesium refractory ramming material.

Sodium fluorosilicate should be added as coagulant in order to obtain normal temperature strength.

The softening temperature of ladle aluminum-magnesium castable is low, which is caused by the addition of magnesia powder to form some low calcined substances and the interaction between sodium silicate and sodium fluorosilicate.
