Guangdong Century Castle Peak Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "construction unit") was established in 2011 and is a foreign-funded joint venture invested and established by Global Nickel Industry (GFNI), the largest listed mineral product development company in the Philippines. The original project is divided into production area and living area. The production area includes a nickel alloy production plant, a stainless steel steelmaking plant and supporting raw material storage yard (shed), batching workshop, waste water treatment (including reuse pool), cooling pool, The living area includes office buildings and canteen dormitory areas; the nickel alloy production plant is equipped with 4 drying kilns, 4 rotary kilns, and 2 60000KVA submerged arc furnaces. The nickel alloy is designed to produce 50,000 tons of pure nickel per year. Nickel alloy with 20,000 tons of nickel (200,000 tons of nickel alloy output); the stainless steel steelmaking plant is equipped with one 120-ton electric arc furnace, four 75-ton AOD furnaces, two 75-ton LF furnaces, and one 200×1250mm plate Billet continuous casting unit, etc., with an annual output of 1 million tons of stainless steel billets.
In December 2016, the construction unit transferred the stainless steel mill equipment (including plant, land use rights, machinery and equipment, office equipment, etc.) of the original project to Guangdong Guangqing Metal Technology Co., Ltd., and retained the nickel alloy production plant (designed pure The amount of nickel is 50,000 tons). In the actual production and operation process, the existing project 2×60000kVA nickel alloy submerged arc furnace did not meet the design index, resulting in the drying, reduction and other ore pretreatment processes cannot be operated at full load, limiting the overall production capacity of the existing project. The actual annual output of the project is 20,000 tons of nickel alloy (200,000 tons of nickel alloy).
When the existing submerged arc furnace is at full capacity, the whole plant can produce 20,000 tons of nickel alloys (200,000 tons of nickel alloys). The actual output of nickel alloys in 2016, 2017, and 2018 were 163,949,939 tons, respectively. 176,612,244 tons and 175,479,123 tons.
In order to achieve technological upgrades, reduce energy consumption losses, improve clean production levels, and enhance the overall competitiveness and benefits of the company, the construction unit proposed a nickel alloy industrial chain technical transformation project, including: upgrading the existing 2×60000kVA nickel alloy submerged arc furnace Renovate and build a new 2×36000kVA nickel alloy submerged arc furnace to optimize waste gas treatment measures. This project can increase the annual output of nickel alloy (nickel alloy output is 168,500 tons) with an annual pure nickel content of 16,850 tons. Therefore, after the implementation of this project, the entire plant will have an annual output of 36,850 tons of nickel alloy (nickel alloy 368,500 tons) with pure nickel content. Ton).
The main construction of this project includes: upgrading and transforming the existing two 60000kVA nickel alloy submerged arc furnaces, the specific content of which is to upgrade the furnace body, adjust the operating parameters, and increase the pure nickel production capacity from 20,000 t/a to 23,000 t/a (increased nickel alloy production capacity from 200,000 t/a to 230,000 t/a); newly build two 36000kVA nickel alloy submerged arc furnaces, increasing the pure nickel production capacity by 13,85 million tons (nickel alloy production capacity is 138,500 tons); others The process utilizes existing equipment. Transform the waste gas treatment system of the drying kiln, add dust removal and denitrification systems, and improve desulfurization efficiency. After the technological transformation, the annual pure nickel output of the whole plant will increase from the current 20,000 tons to 36,850 tons, the nickel alloy output will increase from the current 200,000 tons to 368,500 tons per year, and the nickel content of nickel alloy products will remain unchanged at 10 %.
