OSS Company, the full name of PT. Obsidian Stainless Steel, is a joint venture established by Jiangsu Delong Nickel Industry Co., Ltd. and Xiamen Xiangyu Group. It is a large-scale steel enterprise integrating nickel-iron alloy production and stainless steel smelting. The steelmaking plant officially went into operation in February 2020. On August 18, 2020, a single furnace age of a 100-ton AOD furnace in the OSS steelmaking plant reached 104 furnaces, setting the record for the highest furnace age since the OSS steelmaking plant was put into operation.
AOD furnace age is an important indicator of stainless steel production cost control. Since this year, OSS steelmaking plants have vigorously carried out research work to extend the AOD furnace age.
In terms of production organization and management, we not only do a good job in the accurate docking of handover shifts, but also pay attention to the management of all links from raw materials to smelting, so as to shorten the waiting time of AOD furnace shutdown as much as possible and speed up heat turnover.
Technically, the OSS steelmaking plant has carried out in-depth data statistics, furnace age analysis and other index research activities, constantly summing up experience, finding gaps, analyzing reasons, exploring rules, formulating research measures, reducing slag irrigation consumption, and optimizing fluorite addition ratio , To shorten the smelting cycle, rationally match the charge, and control the rhythm of steel mixing to tapping, standardize the inclination angle of the furnace body when charging, maximize the mother liquid of steel, and control the temperature at the same time, so as to better extend the life of the furnace body .
In terms of operation, pay close attention to the operating skills of the operators, improve the enthusiasm of the employees, and form a good working atmosphere where you can catch up. The age of the AOD furnace continued to rise. On August 5, the age of the No. 2 AOD furnace reached 101 times, which was still unfinished. Then on August 18, the No. 1 AOD furnace was unwilling to lag behind. The furnace age reached 104 times, which refreshed the OSS furnace again. The best AOD furnace age since the steel was put into production.
