Since the beginning of this year, the electrolysis branch has been affected by multiple factors such as high-impurity raw materials and high load, which has brought greater difficulties to the stability of the quality of copper cathodes. The most obvious one is that the arsenic content of the raw materials has increased significantly, resulting in rapid enrichment of arsenic in the electrolyte Set, once exceeded the upper limit of process control. To this end, the electrolysis branch has taken decisive measures, through data analysis, investigation and discussion, and worked out a plan for improving the efficiency of arsenic removal in terms of production organization and process adjustment. At the same time, the maintenance forces of the territories and branch plants were organized to discuss adjustment and transformation plans. After a week of overtime and continuous operation, the relevant adjustment and transformation were completed independently, and the efficiency of arsenic removal was greatly improved.
So far, the total amount of arsenic and antimony slag removed by the electrolysis branch has increased by 74% year-on-year, and the amount of arsenic removed has increased by 110% year-on-year, achieving a rapid decline in the arsenic content of the electrolyte. At the same time, the branch technicians strengthened the quality control of the cathode copper under high load and high impurity conditions to ensure the continuous stability of the cathode copper quality.
