Recently, the Indonesian government said that about 146 workers from China (TKA) will work at Delong Nickel (VDNI), and they plan to arrive in Southeast Sulawesi on June 23, 2020.
These workers are part of PT VDNI's plan to introduce 500 laborers from China. They were previously denied permission to work at the nickel refinery in the Morosi district of the Cornaway Regency because of the outbreak.
Ali Mazi, Governor of Southeast Sulawesi, said that the planned arrival of 500 workers has met all the requirements and permits of the existing regulations, especially the requirements of the sanitary regulations regarding the handling of COVID-19.
According to Ali Mazi, the government must also provide guarantees to existing investors to maintain a harmonious relationship between the government and investors. PT VDNI is no exception. According to her, the investment of PT VDNI is as high as 40 trillion rupiah.
