When using ton bag packaging machines on-site, many people encounter a rather troublesome problem: the equipment operates normally, but the weight of the packaged products fluctuates greatly, and sometimes the error is quite significant. If this problem is not solved, it not only affects product quality, but may also lead to customer complaints and even increase rework costs.
From practical experience, the weighing of ton bag packaging machines is inaccurate, and most of the time it is not a single fault but the result of multiple factors combined. Several common directions can be used to determine this.
The most common type of problem lies in the weighing system itself. If the weighing sensor is interfered with by external forces, such as uneven equipment installation, stuck connection parts, or contact between the scale body and other structures, it will affect the accuracy of the data. Some sites, after installation or maintenance, do not recalibrate, and this situation is also prone to errors.
Material factors are also a key point. If the density, moisture content, or fluidity of different batches of materials changes, the feeding process will become unstable. Especially for powder materials, during the feeding process, "overfeeding" or "stagnation" may occur, and the system cannot precisely control it, resulting in weighing deviations. This situation is very common in production.
Looking further down, whether the feeding method is matched is also very important. If the feeding speed is too fast and the subsequent, supplement control is not good, it is prone to overloading; conversely, if the speed is too slow, it will affect efficiency. Some equipment does not distinguish between "coarse feeding" and "fine feeding" in parameter settings, which is also an important reason for the error.
The pneumatic system cannot be ignored either. Unstable air pressure or slow operation of pneumatic actuating elements will affect the timing of discharging and shutting off, indirectly causing inaccurate weighing. Especially in workshops with many pneumatic equipment, this problem is more likely to occur.

Another situation is that parameters are adjusted or changed, such as when the operator unintentionally modifies the control parameters or the equipment does not undergo calibration after long-term operation. These will cause the weighing accuracy to gradually deviate.
When encountering inaccurate weighing problems, on-site personnel can follow a simple approach to troubleshoot: first, check if there are any interferences or installation issues with the equipment, then check if the material conditions have changed, then inspect the feeding method and parameter settings, and finally confirm if the air source is stable. Following this sequence, it is generally possible to quickly locate the cause.
In daily use, it is recommended to perform calibration and checks regularly, especially after changing materials or conducting equipment maintenance, and timely calibration can avoid many problems. Many so-called "inaccurate equipment" are actually due to details not being done properly.
