ANTAM, Indonesia's state-owned mining holding company, recently said it aims to produce 12.1 million wet tonnes of nickel in 2022, up 10 percent from 11.01 million wet tonnes in 2021. The nickel mine sales volume target for 2022 is 10.05 million wet tons, up 31% from 7.64 million wet tons in 2021, which is in line with the prospects of the nickel downstream industry in Indonesia.
In terms of nickel iron products, ANTAM said it will produce and sell about 24,000-25,000 tonnes of nickel iron (TNi) in 2022.
