PT Aneka Tambang(ANTAM), Indonesia's state-owned mining holding company, said on Friday it is targeting a nickel mine production of 12.1 million wet tonnes (WMT) in 2022, up 10% from 11.01 million wet tonnes in 2021.
ANTAM added that the nickel mine sales volume target for 2022 is 10.05 million wet tonnes, up 31 percent from 7.64 million wet tonnes in 2021, which is in line with the prospects of developing the country's nickel downstream industry.
Regarding the nickel-iron product, ANTAM said the company will produce and sell about 24,000-25,000 tonnes of nickel-iron (TNi) in 2022.
In addition, ANTAM plans to sell 28,011 kg (900,574 Troy ounces) of gold products in 2022, in line with the company's strategy to expand its share in the domestic market.
ANTAM plans to produce 1.8 million wet tonnes of bauxite in 2022, up 8% from 1.67 million in 2021.
