ASX: ATM (ASX: ATM) announced that in 2021, the company's main products of nickel and iron, nickel ore, gold and bauxite production and sales target growth.
In terms of ferro-nickel commodities, Antam is targeting a relatively stable production and sales volume of 26,000 tonnes of ferro-nickel (TNI), with unaudited ferro-nickel production and sales volume reaching 25,970 tnI and 26,163 tnI by 2020.
The Ferro-Nickel production target is in line with Antam's strategy to improve the optimisation of production at the Pomalaa Ferro-Nickel plant in south-eastern Sulawesi.
In terms of nickel ore commodities, Antam plans to achieve nickel ore production of 8.44 million wet tons in 2021, an increase of 77% from 2020's unaudited nickel ore production of 4.76 million tons.
The increase in the nickel ore production target will be used as ore feedstock for the Antam nickel-iron plant and sold to customers in the domestic market.
Meanwhile, the nickel ore sales target is 6.71 million tons in 2021, up 104 percent from 3.3 million tons in 2020.
The increase in nickel ore sales targets since the completion of nickel processing facilities has been further increased in line with the positive demand for nickel prospects in the domestic market.
On the gold commodity front, Antam plans to produce 1.37 tonnes of gold from its Pongkor and Cibaliung mines by 2021, with a target gold sales volume of 18 tonnes.
In 2021, Antam is committed to developing domestic gold customers, which is in line with the positive growth awareness of gold investment and the positive growth demand for the company's gold products in the domestic market.
Antam continues to innovate with its Logam Mulia gold products, such as the launch of the "Year of the Ox Golden Lunar Calendar" edition in early February 2021.
The launch of Metalox Limited Edition Precious Metal products is aimed at the Lunar New Year in 2021.
These innovations are part of the company's efforts to increase the value added of its products and continue to achieve positive results in the company's gold sales.
In terms of bauxite commodities, Antam is targeting bauxite production of 3 million tonnes in 2021, a 93% increase from the unaudited 1.55 million tonnes in 2020.
Increased bauxite production in 2021 will be used for alumina production and sold to a third customer.
Meanwhile, the 2021 bauxite sales target is 2.73 million tons, up 122% from the unaudited 1.23 million tons in 2020.
Increased sales of bauxite have met the demand.
