HOUSTON, January 12th (Argus) - Australian lithium mining company Elevra Lithium plans to accelerate the production expansion plan for its lithium ore (lithium oxide) project in Quebec by two years, aiming to complete the construction by the end of 2029.
This expansion will increase the production of lithium oxide from 200,000 tons per year to 315,000 tons.

Piedmont Lithium and Sayona Mining merged to form Elevra Lithium in 2025.
The company stated that the revised expansion plan enables the capital investment to be spread over a longer period.
This Quebec project has signed a sales agreement for lithium oxide concentrate with Tesla.
