On October 24th, according to the website of the Anhui Provincial Department of Natural Resources, in order to thoroughly implement the national strategy for ensuring energy and resource security and promote the increase and expansion of strategic mineral resources in our province, on September 8, 2025, the Anhui Provincial Department of Natural Resources publicly auctioned the exploration right for "Caiting Copper-Metals Multi-Purpose Ore Deposit Exploration" in Xuanzhou District of Anhui Province through online bidding on the Anhui Hefei Public Resources Trading Platform. This attracted 33 leading mining enterprises and geological exploration units from within the country to participate in the registration and bidding. The bidding started at 9 a.m. on October 11, 2025, and the time-limited bidding began at 10:04 a.m. on October 23. won the bid with 860.893 billion yuan, setting a new record for the highest single transaction amount of mining rights auctions in Anhui Province.
This mining area is located in the north suburbs of Xuancheng City and is a concealed porphyry-type ore deposit newly discovered in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River ore-forming belt. The planned copper ore output is 122 million tons. Within the proposed exploration area, there are still multiple geophysical anomalies awaiting verification, and the prospects for deep-level exploration are broad.
