Steady growth of output
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of refined copper and copper materials will reach 10.03 million tons and 20.46 million tons respectively in 2020, up 7.4% and 0.9% year on year respectively.

According to the data of the General Administration of Customs, the total import and export volume of copper products in 2020 was 88.9 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year growth of 9.1%, of which the import volume was 82.7 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year growth of 10.7%, and the export volume was 6.3 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year decrease of 7.7%.
In terms of import, influenced by the policy of prohibiting the entry of foreign garbage, low copper processing fee and unselling domestic sulfuric acid and other factors, the import of copper scrap and copper concentrate amounted to 940,000 tons and 21.77 million tons, down 36.5% and 1% year-on-year, while the import of crude copper and refined copper amounted to 1.03 million tons and 4.67 million tons, up 35.9% and 31.5% year-on-year.
In terms of exports, the export volume of unwrought copper and copper materials was 740,000 tons, down 11.5% year-on-year.
