CTC Energy and Mining, Turkey's biggest bauxite producer, resumed production in early August and expects to produce around 200,000 tonnes in August, a company source said.
"We resumed production at the beginning of this month and expect to produce about 200,000 tonnes in August," said the person, who produced about 90,000 tonnes in July and stopped production in mid-July because of the Eid al-Adha holiday. With an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes, the company produced about 900,000 tonnes in the first seven months of this year, compared with a total output of about 1.4 million tonnes last year and current stocks of about 500,000 tonnes.
