Houston, June 30th (Argus) - Elevra Lithium, an Australian-based lithium producer, has begun expanding its operations at the North American Lithium (NAL) project in Quebec, Canada. This expansion is expected to increase the annual lithium oxide concentrate production capacity by 20%.
The company stated today that this commencement of construction was carried out after Elevra successfully completed a 441 million Australian dollar (approximately 309 million US dollars) financing in May 2026, and the funds have been fully utilized to support the expansion of the NAL project.
The NAL project was put into operation in 2023 and produced approximately 200,000 tons of lithium oxide in 2025, with an annual capacity of 220,000 tons.

Elevra wholly owns the operating company of NAL and holds 60% of the Moblan lithium mine project in Quebec, 23% of the Ewoyaa project in Ghana, and the Caroline lithium mine project in North Carolina.
The company also has an asset in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, which has the potential for developing gold and lithium mines.
Currently, only the NAL project is in production, while all other projects are still in the research stage.
Elevra has signed lithium oxide supply agreements with Tesla, LG Chem, and Mangrove.
