Glencore's 2021 production report shows nickel production reached 102,300 tonnes, down 7% from the same period last year, due to Australia's Murrin Murrin's scheduled five-week maintenance shutdown in May-June and maintenance issues earlier this year.
In the fourth quarter, INO nickel production reached 14,300 tons, down 5% year on year. Murrin MurrinI's nickel production reached 9,600 tons in the fourth quarter, up 5% from a year earlier. Koniambo produced 7,300 tonnes of nickel and iron, up 135% month-on-month and 83% year-on-year, after Glencore said it would continue to increase production in 2022.
The 2022 production guidance will not change to 110-120,000 tons.
