The profits of the main mining industry are as follows: The oil and natural gas mining industry decreased by 9.9%, the coal mining and washing industry decreased by 18.7%, the ferrous metal mining industry decreased by 41.9%, the non-ferrous metal mining industry increased by 1.3%, the non-metallic ore mining industry increased by 5.9%, and the ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry decreased by 102.8%. Non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry fell 53% year-on-year.
The reporter found that from January to May, the operating income of the mining industry was 2,529.22 billion yuan, down 7.2% year-on-year; The mining operating income margin was 23.4%, higher than the full-year 2022 average (22.82%) but lower than the January-May 2022 level (25.77%). At the same time, from January to May, the costs and expenses per 100 yuan of operating income in the mining industry have increased, increasing by an average of 2.52 yuan and 0.61 yuan respectively over the same period last year.
In addition, the data show that the asset-liability ratio of the mining industry at the end of May was 56.4%, which is better than the debt situation at the end of 2022 (56.7%).
