Overall, the investment of mineral exploration funds is declining
According to s&p, due to the global spread of COVID-19 and other factors, the global investment in mineral exploration in 2020 will be about $8.18 billion, down about 12% from 2019.
Among them, the region with the largest drop in mineral exploration input in 2020 is Latin America (by about 22%), followed by the Asia-Pacific region (by about 11%).


Global investment in oil and gas exploration has been slowly rising since 2016. Affected by coVID-19 epidemic, crude oil price slump and other factors, global investment in oil and gas exploration has been reversed. S&p estimates that upstream investment in oil and gas exploration will be about $328 billion in 2020, a sharp decline of 32% from 2019, and may fall below the level in 2016.
