PT Hillcon will carry out work on two nickel mines, PT Sarana Mineralindo Perkasa and PT Adhi Kartiko Pratama, through PT Hillconjaya Sakti. Production from the two mining projects is expected to reach 6 million wet metric tons or $6 million per year.
The Sarana Mineralindo Perkasa mine is located in North Morowali, central Sulawesi, and Adhi Kartiko Pratama is located in North Konawe area, southeast Sulawesi.
Hillcon's lead director Hersan Qiu said his team had signed Letters of intent (LOI) with Sarana Mineralindo Perkasa and Adhi Kartiko Pratama on Dec 2, 2022 and Dec 5, 2022 respectively.
"In accordance with our commitment, Hillcon is focused on nickel mining services," Hersan said. We are optimistic that we will be able to produce nickel ore grade 1.5 per cent and above at both mines."
Hersan revealed that nickel from the Sarana Mineralindo Perkasa mine is likely to be incorporated into the Stardust Industrial Investment (SEI) industrial zone at a later date.
Meanwhile, Nickel from Adhi Kartiko Pratama will supply PT Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry and PT Obsidian Stainless Steel in Morosi, southeast Sulawesi, due to their close proximity.
