As a leader in the world laterite hydrometallurgical industry, Huaye Nickel-cobalt project has introduced the world's advanced laterite high-pressure acid leaching (HPAL) process and auxiliary technology, with short process and low energy consumption.
Currently under construction, the Morowali Wet Process project is located in Aoyama Industrial Park in central Sulawesi, Indonesia. It will start operation in the second half of 2018 and is expected to start production in 2021.
After the project is put into production, it has the capacity to produce 60,000 tons of nickel metal per year. The product will be mainly used in battery anode materials of new energy vehicles.
