On October 24th, according to the website of the Natural Resources Department of Anhui Province, in order to thoroughly implement the national strategy for ensuring energy and resource security and promote the increase and expansion of strategic mineral resources in our province, on September 8th, 2025, the Natural Resources Department of Anhui Province publicly auctioned the exploration right of "Taiting Copper-Metallic Multi-Purpose Ore Exploration" in Xuanzhou District of Anhui Province through online bidding on the public resource trading platform in Hefei, Anhui Province. This attracted 33 leading mining enterprises and geological exploration units from within the country to participate in the registration and bidding. The bidding started at 9 a.m. on October 11th, 2025, and at 10:04 a.m. on October 23rd, it entered the time-limited bidding.893 billion yuan, setting a new record for the highest single transaction amount of mining rights auctions in Anhui Province.
This mining area is located in the north suburbs of Xuancheng City and is a concealed porphyry-type ore deposit newly discovered in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River ore formation belt. The planned copper ore output is 122 million tons, and there are still multiple geophysical anomalies to be verified within the exploration area that is to be leased, with broad prospects for deep-level exploration.
