On April 12, Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd. announced that it planned to change the balance of 77,0453,000 yuan raised from the original bond savings in the early stage to "The First-phase construction project of Aurora Gold Mine in Guyana", with a total investment of us $27,989,200 (about RMB 177,6810,400 yuan).
In 2020, Zijin Mining will issue convertible corporate bonds with a face value of 6 billion yuan to the public, and the funds raised will be mainly invested in three projects including the Kamoa-Kakula copper mine project.
"Kamoa-kakula Copper Project of Congo (DRC) Kamoa Holdings Co., LTD." is the proposed fund raising investment project, which is planned to invest RMB 3,110,285,100 yuan. As of March 31, 2022, the project has invested 2,348,786,600 yuan in total raised funds. The project has been completed and put into operation ahead of schedule and generated good benefits, saving the raised fund balance of 7,70,453,000 yuan (including interest). Since the project has reached the scheduled state of availability and achieved good benefits, shareholders do not need to continue to invest. In order to improve the efficiency of using the raised funds and maximize the interests of the company's shareholders, Zijin Mining intends to invest the surplus raised funds of "Kamoa-Kakula Copper Project of Congo (DRC) Kamoa Holdings Co., LTD." in the new project after full demonstration.
The investment project raised after the change is "Aurora Gold Mining Project Phase I", and the implementation subject of the newly raised project is Aurora Gold Mine Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Aurora Company"), which indirectly holds 100% equity. The total construction investment of the newly raised project is us $27,989,200 (about RMB 177,6810,400 yuan), and the proposed fund is RMB 77,0453,000 yuan, the rest of which will be invested by Aurora company's own funds or self-raised funds.
