Recently, Indonesia Ministry of energy and Mines announced the September nickel ore domestic trade benchmark price (MC 35%), among which
Ni1.7% FOB 43.88 USD/wet ton, down 0.89 USD month on month, up 5.61 USD year on year;
Ni1.8% FOB 49.04 USD/wet ton, down 0.99 USD month on month and up 6.27 USD year on year;
Ni1.9% FOB $54.49 / wet ton, down $1.10 month on month, up $6.97 year on year;
Ni2.0% FOB $60.22 / wet ton, down $1.22 month on month and up $7.70 year on year.
The benchmark price of Indonesian nickel ore domestic trade HPM=Ni%*CF (correction factor) * (1- moisture) *HMA (reference price), HMA in September was $22059.13. The Indonesian Nickel Mining Association said the operating costs of nickel mines in Indonesia are gradually increasing due to rising energy prices, and the increasing demand for nickel downstream is helping the development of nickel mines.
