India's Phillips Black Carbon Sales Rose In The Third Quarter But Profits Fell--PUDA Carbon Black Packing Machine

Philip carbon black corporation (PCBL), India's largest manufacturer of carbon black, has announced its operating results for the first half of the fiscal year 2020-2021 (i.e., the second and third quarters of this year, or calendar April 1 solstice AD, September 30, 2020).

PCBL experienced a rebound in demand in the third quarter of this year, the second quarter of the company's fiscal 2021, with sales reaching 110,400 tons, up 8% from the same period last year.

Among them, the market demand for specialty carbon black, such as carbon black used for packaging materials and engineering plastic products is particularly strong.

Domestic sales of 82,700 tons, up 18.9%;

Exports fell 15.1 per cent to 27,700 tonnes.

Revenue for the third quarter of this year was 6.647 billion rupees, down 23.0% year on year;

Pretax profit (PBT) was Rs. 724 crore, down 30.0% year on year;

After-tax profit (PAT) was Rs 576 crore, down 25.2 per cent year on year.

In the third quarter of this year, Philip Carbon Black's operating performance was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with sales down 23.0% and profits down sharply despite a significant increase in domestic sales.

Revenue for the second and third quarters of this year (the first half of fy2021) was Rs10.268 billion, down 42.3% from the same period last year;

Pre-tax profit (PBT) was Rs 752m, down 59.8% from a year earlier.

After-tax profit was Rs 599 crore, down 57.9% year on year.

Obviously, the third quarter of this year operating performance of the indicators of the decline more than the second quarter has narrowed.

In addition, the performance of Philip Carbon Black in the third quarter of this year also includes the following three items: the newly established wholly-owned subsidiary Philip (Tamil Nadu) Branch (PCBL(TN)Ltd) has been incorporated, and the new project of implementing 150,000 tons of carbon black and 25MW in Tamil Nadu has been completed and put into operation.

The opening of the company's SushilaGoenka Innovation Centre in Europe will further enhance PCBL's research and development capabilities.

During the post-outbreak period, all four PCBL plants have been certified by WASH(Workplace Safety Assessment and Sanitation) to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees.

PUDA carbon black packing machine:

Most carbon black is light,small bulk density, so PUDA will shooce vacuuming valve bag packing machine for it . Until now, PUDA has sold ten vacuuming machines for carbon black to India.
